About Bobby Jones Golf Club
Bobby Jones Golf Club in Sarasota offers an exciting new golfing experience with the completion in 2023 of its restored 18-hole Donald Ross-designed course and a renewed 9-hole par 3 course. The complex includes a 300-yard green grass driving range with space for 70 hitting stations, a 25,000 square foot short game practice area, and a temporary clubhouse offering food and beverage service. The Donald Ross course, spanning 6,714 yards from championship tees with a par 71, challenges golfers to strategically consider every shot, featuring six tee boxes at each hole to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course also introduces strategic mounding, staying true to Ross's original vision while offering a fresh and unique layout for those familiar with his classic designs. The 9-hole Gillespie short course, which reopened May 2024, features adjustable holes that can be repositioned, offering up to 30 different hole combinations for a variety of experiences. This versatility is designed to provide golfers with new challenges and exciting opportunities each time they play.
